In a sport where statistics are king, he became the first player in NBA history to record thirty points and seven blocks in less than half an hour on the floor. He is also the second rookie in history to have at least thirty points, five rebounds, five assists and seven blocks in a game, after Spurs legend David Robinson in 1990, who was then 24 years old.
San Antonio, which hopes to rebuild its future team around Wembanyama, number 1 in the draft, ends a series of five defeats in a row, but still remains last in the Western Conference.
