The neighborhood help is looking for volunteers in Grasbrunn and in the communities of Vaterstetten and Zorneding who would like to spend time with seniors. “We know that many older people have isolated themselves at home for fear of infection and are becoming increasingly lonely,” says Anja Pilopp from the neighborhood help. Many seniors already had this feeling of loneliness before the corona pandemic, but now it has increased enormously. In order to counteract the development, the neighborhood help in Grasbrunn and the surrounding communities is looking for volunteers. They should spend time with older people. Whether it’s joint excursions or social visits – the seniors would long for “conversations, a laugh, some company and variety,” says Pilopp. Interested parties can contact [email protected].
