Gräfelfing – new use for hotel “Dolce Vita” – district of Munich

It’s over with “Dolce Vita” in Gräfelfing. The hotel with the Italian name on Planegger Straße closed its doors when the corona pandemic began. The contract has expired, “there is no longer a tenant,” said Mayor Peter Köstler (CSU) on request. The property belongs to the municipality, which is open to new ideas for use.

The hotel could be leased again at any time, said Köstler, “applications are on the table”. However, he advocates that the municipal council discuss what else can be done with the property. The Würm flows directly past the back of the house and the hydroelectric power station is connected to the house. The old power plant will soon be rebuilt anyway, because the community has decided to build a more powerful shaft power plant. In the past there had already been considerations about building a terrace over the Würm, said Köstler. Perhaps this idea will be revived. A concept for the use of the property is to be developed by the municipal council in the course of the year.
