Because of the still tense corona situation, the government of Upper Bavaria has obliged 76 clinics to refrain from all postponable inpatient treatments until the end of January. The order made in November also applies to all Munich clinics, the Urological Private Clinic in Planegg and the Wolfart Clinic in Graefelfing. The government announced on Monday that the top priority remains to ensure inpatient capacities for the care of all emergency and intensive care patients. Intensive care beds in Upper Bavaria are still around 90 percent full, and at the same time the number of infections is increasing significantly again due to the Omikron virus. Medically urgent interventions such as heart or tumor operations are excluded from the order.
