Google closes game platform Stadia – economy

Not everything that the internet company Google touches turns to gold. Google has now declared its foray into the online video game business a failure. The company is shutting down its Stadia games streaming service. With such offers, the video games do not run on the users’ PCs or consoles, but on the providers’ servers on the Internet, which requires fast lines. The solutions are considered by many experts to be the future of the games industry. Google was a pioneer in such services with Stadia. However, Microsoft was more successful with the Xbox gaming platform and the graphics card specialist Nvidia, which also offers games from the Internet. Stadia didn’t get enough user support, Google admitted in a blog post on Thursday. Customers should be able to use their games until January 18 next year and be reimbursed for hardware and software expenses.
