Hollywood:Austin Butler wins Golden Globe for “Elvis”
Austin Butler received an award for his portrayal of US legend Elvis Presley in the biopic “Elvis”.

For the first time since 2020, the prestigious awards were presented at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, unaffected by the pandemic. Comedian Jerrod Carmichael hosted the gala.

On Tuesday evening (local time) there was a traditional Golden Globe Awards ceremony in Los Angeles after two unusual years under the influence of the coronavirus pandemic. In the category “Best Actor – Drama” the trophy went to Austin Butler for his portrayal of rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley in the film “Elvis”.
Colin Farell was awarded Best Actor – Comedy/Musical for his performance in the tragic comedy The Banshees of Inisherin. Meanwhile, she won the award for Best Female Lead in a Comedy or Musical Michelle Yeoh for “Everything Everywhere All at Once”.
In the Best Supporting Actor category Ke Huy Quan for his performance in the sci-fi comedy Everything Everywhere All at Once. Best Supporting Actress Angela Basset for her role as Queen Ramonda in the sci-fi adventure Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
