Cassy was supposed to be the backstage moderator for the finale. Because the Hamburg native decided against the job, Katherine now takes over. During the live show, she will elicit some inside information from the finalists behind the scenes. Cassy is sure: “You will do really well.”

At final rehearsals: Nikeata Thompson reveals how she came to GNTM
The rehearsals for the big GNTM finale last a full seven days. Choreographer Nikeata Thompson recently revealed this on the set. This period of time is also necessary, after all, the show is complex and the top model candidates are not professionals at the same time, says the 42-year-old. Processes and movements have to be rehearsed down to the last detail so that they fit on the final day.
It becomes particularly interesting when Nikeata Thompson is asked about her entry into GNTM. The German-British reveals that she was initially asked to be a choreographer for a past GNTM finale, but behind the scenes. Nikeata “rocked” this final choreography in a team of two with a colleague.
In the subsequent conversation with Heidi Klum, the model boss was enthusiastic: the choreographer was “confident and funny”. Of course, the question quickly arose as to whether Nikeata also wanted to work in front of the camera. A plan that was already implemented in the following year. “Then I was a catwalk trainer in front of the camera,” says the 42-year-old, who even became part of the jury four years later.
Nikeata Thompson is now a permanent member of the GNTM family and the show is unimaginable without it.
