In week 13 of GNTM, Heidi Klum relies entirely on emotions: the candidates should show feelings during the video shoot with actress Brigitte Nielsen and on the catwalk. Some reveal very personal stories.

What happened?
“What’s going on in there”: With this saying, Brigitte Nielsen became a cult candidate in the jungle camp. At GNTM, the 58-year-old should now help the models to get more pep and shoot a short film with them. A prison cell serves as the backdrop: Nielsen is the inmate, the respective candidate is the visitor and is supposed to think of a story that is as exciting as possible. The mother-daughter team Martina and Lou-Anne masters the task best. “Better than mom – and your mother was excellent,” says Brigitte Nielsen after Lou-Anne’s performance. On the other hand, Anita, Sophie and Juliana have problems, who need several attempts or confuse everyone with their sometimes too complicated ideas.

The emotional tasks bring up some very private stories. Lieselotte, for example, considered during the video shoot that Brigitte Nielsen should portray her sister, who is in prison. The otherwise happy 66-year-old bursts into tears and tells Heidi Klum that her real sister recently died. “It wasn’t long ago and she was your age. It wasn’t acting, I really suffered,” says the Berliner to Klum. “I’m sorry. We made a mistake with the story,” the 48-year-old tries to apologize. Noella also reveals her tragic family history. She grew up with an aunt in Congo while her parents lived in Europe. “I saw my mother again when I was 13 years old. I only lived with my mother in Germany for four years. We don’t have a real mother-daughter relationship. I still don’t know my father to this day,” says the 25-year-old . Her aunt was the only one who believed in her, says Noella. However, she has since passed away from cancer.
The guest judge
Heidi Klum will be supported this week by singer Kim Petras, who began her career as a teenager with YouTube videos and is now enjoying success as an artist in the United States. It should show the candidates that dreams can come true. For the final decision, the participants have to go back to their childhood days and write down their greatest wishes. In addition, a catwalk awaits them, on which the rain cannons are thrown. Soaking wet, they have to walk down a street. “These are my top ten. Now it’s no longer a class trip. In the first few weeks you can still turn a blind eye here and there,” says Klum.
GNTM 2022: who has to go?
Heidi Klum is sending two candidates home this week. It hits Sophie and Juliana. “You’re lagging behind compared to the others. You stood out today as the weakest of all,” Klum judges Sophie’s performance on the catwalk. It was also fatal to her that she stopped shooting the video in the middle because she had lost the thread. Even Juliana could not convince during the video shoot. “If I had quality control, your video would be the one that would have failed,” admits guest judge Kim Petras. Heidi Klum doesn’t have much to add to that: Episode 13 is the end for the 25-year-old Berliner.
