Glonner parish church – what a church knows to tell – Ebersberg

Glonn parish church:What a church can tell

Glonn – Stephan Ametsbichler reports on unstable foundations, failed artists and confused political times during a guided tour of the church on Sunday, October 17th, at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. in the St. Johann Baptist parish church in Glonn. The local history researcher brings 250 years of Glonn church history to life: He tells of the construction and the artistic furnishings of the parish church, talks about empty coffers in socially difficult times, the brilliant Tyrolean sculptor Joseph Götsch, who did not want to see the decline of the Rococo, and about ” happy and unhappy modernizations “that the church has seen and survived in the 250 years of its existence. Registration for one of the two tours in the Glonn parish office on (08093) 50, or by email to [email protected].
