As a notoriously misanthropic film critic, you are of course sparing with such judgments, because otherwise the PR geeks would be too happy, but: “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” on Netflix is the ideal holiday film. At 140 minutes, it lasts long enough to digest a Christmas roast in a dignified manner, and it should also be ideally suited as a remedy against impending January depression. Funny, clever, exciting – most of the time you’re happy if one of these adjectives applies to a film, here all three are correct.
