After Gil Ofarim confessed, friends publicly distanced themselves from him. Can the musician at least save his career in the jungle camp?

Leipzig – After the initial speculation, there are now further rumors about possible jungle camp participants. A GZSZ star and a GNTM model should be there. Will TV viewers soon see Gil Ofarim (41) on “I’m a Star, Get Me Out of Here”? An RTL spokesman has now commented on this.

Gil Ofarim lost the solidarity of his colleagues with his lie – is his career also over?

In October 2021, Gil Ofarim posted an emotional video message to his Instagram fans. In it, the musician claimed that he had been asked by hotel staff at a Leipzig hotel to take off his Star of David necklace – or he would not be served. The clip sparked a wave of outrage and went viral. But the hotel defended itself against these harsh accusations. The case went to court. Gil Ofarim now admitted that he had just made up the story.

Clear words: Ruth Moschner settles accounts with Gil Ofarim after the lying scandal

Gil Ofarim has admitted that he wrongly accused the Leipzig Westin Hotel of anti-Semitism – this also causes Ruth Moschner a lack of understanding.

Gil Ofarim sent to jungle camp after confessing lies? Now RTL is speaking

Gil Ofarim wouldn’t be the first to use “I’m a star, get me out of here” as a second career springboard. But even that seems to be out of reach for the musician at the moment, because even the jungle camp doesn’t want the musician after his lying scandal. “There are currently no plans with Gil Ofarim in the entertainment sector,” said an RTL spokesman when asked by BILD.

A similar picture emerges from the competing channels. An RTLZWEI spokesman responded to BILD’s query: “We are currently not planning any format with Gil Ofarim.” At ProSiebenSat.1 the rejection is less clear: “We generally do not discuss collaboration with an artist publicly.”
