Watch the video: A cargo ship rams a liquid tanker off Gibraltar. Is there an oil spill?

STORY: Shipwreck off the coast of Gibraltar. A gigantic freighter collided with a liquid gas tanker off the southern tip of the Iberian peninsula on Tuesday, according to the authorities in the British Overseas Territory. The collision resulted in the port being closed for several hours. However, it has now been fully reopened. The authorities fear an oil spill if the 180-meter-long cargo ship goes under. The crew is currently still on board. Barriers have been installed around the grounded cargo ship to prevent a possible fuel spill. The ship, loaded with steel bars and carrying more than 400 tons of fuel, rammed the LNG tanker as it tried to leave the bay.
