In a collision between the ambulance and a car near Geslau (Ansbach district), three people were fatally injured on Wednesday. An 89-year-old patient in the ambulance and the two 69- and 79-year-old occupants in the car succumbed to their serious injuries after the collision. The 22-year-old driver of the ambulance and his 19-year-old colleague were seriously injured in clinics. Her condition is stable, the spokesman said. However, they have not yet been interviewed.

According to the information, several people observed the accident. Accordingly, the ambulance had hit oncoming traffic for reasons that were previously unclear. He was therefore on a normal transport journey without blue lights and sirens. According to the police, the accident happened in the afternoon on a dry road in an area without sharp curves. After the accident, the Bavarian Red Cross announced that the 89-year-old had been “buckled on a stretcher according to regulations” in the BRK car. An expert was called in to clarify the course of the accident.
