Apparently a car driver survived the collision with a tree on Bundesstraße 2 near Germering on Tuesday morning. According to a report by the Germering volunteer fire brigade, the woman and her car had strayed from the road at the Germering-Mitte exit, drove through a meadow and crashed into the tree. The tree almost fell over, broke and bored into the engine compartment on the passenger side. The driver left the car on her own and was taken to a clinic by the ambulance service. The Germering fire brigade was busy with the securing and cleaning of the accident site with 19 emergency services and five vehicles and was able to call in after an hour.
