On the first day of sale, the Munich public transport company and the railway registered great interest in the subscription, which costs 49 euros per month. It’s easiest for existing customers, but an exchange isn’t worth it for everyone.

The Deutschlandticket has been available for 49 euros since this Monday. And although it only applies from May 1st, the demand in Munich is already high on the first day. By early afternoon alone, the Munich transport company (MVG) had sold around 20,000 tickets. The railway has not yet given any figures, but recorded double the demand on the sales channels than usual on Mondays.
