The German Television Prize 2023 was awarded in Cologne on Thursday evening. The event has been taking place annually since 1999 and is one of the most important in the industry – the number of celebrities is correspondingly high. This year too, numerous stars and starlets from the German television and media landscape were drawn to the metropolis on the Rhine, who were photographed on the red carpet in front of the MMC Studios and then watched the awards ceremony.
German Television Award 2023: Honorary award goes to Bully Herbig
A total of 26 awards are presented each year. One of the most important categories is the Honorary Prize, which is awarded to an exceptional personality in the industry and this year went to Bully Herbig as “Entertainment Genius”. In addition, the best actor and actress as well as independent formats are honored in various categories, with streaming providers in particular securing victory this year.
