German Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale – Culture

Dust is everywhere. The hurricane wind that shook Venice on Tuesday stirred up the pile of loose earth that filled the entrance to the German pavilion. But dust also comes out of the side entrance and becomes even denser inside. And if you push yourself along the walls through the crowd, it crumbles off the walls. Dust collects on the clothes, gets into the eyes, settles in the throat. No other pavilion in the Giardini of the Biennale, which officially opens on Saturday, is as stressful for visitors. No one else overwhelms or touches him like that.
