Sasha Marianna Salzmann, born in Volgograd in 1985, and Ofer Waldman, born in Jerusalem in 1979, met a few years ago in the Jewish Museum Berlin. Salzmann has lived in Germany since 1995, publishes novels and essays, and works at the Gorki Theater in Berlin. Waldman is a horn player, was a member of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra in Berlin and symphonic orchestras in Israel, and has been working as a freelance author since 2015. After October 7, 2023, at the invitation of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, Salzmann and Waldman conducted a three-month public correspondence between Berlin and Jerusalem, which will be published in an expanded form by Suhrkamp-Verlag on April 14 under the title “Simultaneous”.
