The German Cabaret Prize 2022, endowed with 6000 euros, goes to the duo Ulan & Bator. This was announced by the Nuremberg Burgtheater, which awards the prize donated by the city of Nuremberg every year. The duo Ulan & Bator aka Sebastian Rüger and Frank Smilgies know how to bring philanthropic humor to the stage with a mixture of perfect body comedy and intelligent-crazy language acrobatics. Jean-Philippe Kindler received the sponsorship award, which is endowed with 4,000 euros. The special prize, endowed with 2000 euros, goes to Birgit Süss. The awards are to be presented at a gala in the Nuremberg Tafelhalle on December 14th. The German cabaret prize has been awarded annually in Nuremberg since 1991. Horst Evers was awarded in 2021.
