Gérard Depardieu heard in a police station about sexual assaults on two women

The noose is tightening around Gérard Depardieu. According to information from BFMTV of which 20 minutes has received confirmation, the actor was questioned this Monday morning in a Paris police station and could be placed in police custody. Two women accuse him of sexual assault, suspicions to which he must respond.

The facts date back to the filming of two films, in 2014 for The Magician and the Siamese by Jean-Pierre Mocky and in 2021 for Green Shutters by Jean Becker.

For this last case, the accusations come from a 53-year-old decorator, named Amélie. At the end of February, she filed a complaint and explained that the actor had made serious comments to her during filming. Then, later, he allegedly “grabbed her brutally” and “kneaded her waist, her stomach, going up to her breasts”. An attack interrupted by the actor’s bodyguards.

As for the first complainant, she is a filming assistant. She mentions sexual touching at the home of Gérard Depardieu in 2014 and then again during filming.

One of the sacred monsters of French cinema, whose statue is gradually being debunked, is finally indicted for rape and sexual assault on the actress Charlotte Arnould.
