According to an announcement relayed on social networks, the funeral of the young man killed by the shooting of a police officer will take place on Saturday in Nanterre and will conclude with a burial in the early afternoon. “We must continue to surround this family, this mother who will bury her child tomorrow”, said Patrick Jarry, the mayor of Nanterre, where the young man was from. In a statement, lawyers for Nahel’s family urged journalists not to be present at the funeral in order to avoid any “media interference”.
