The 92-year-old man steps onto the stage at the Technical University of Munich cautiously, taking small steps. George Soros’ public appearances have become rare, and he wasn’t at the Economic Forum in Davos this year either. The more than 1,000 students are all the more excited to listen to the man who has become one of the richest people in the world through currency speculation. He has also been one of the world’s greatest philanthropists for decades, fighting for democracy and against dictatorship and has donated more than $32 billion to promote law and justice around the world.
