After the USA and Great Britain attacked Houthi positions in Yemen, the rebels announced revenge. Now the US military has once again fended off a missile.

The According to its own statements, the US military has once again repelled a rocket from the Houthi rebels based in Yemen in the south of the Red Sea. The Houthis fired the anti-ship cruise missile in the direction of a US Navy destroyer, the responsible regional command of the US military said overnight via X, formerly Twitter. The missile was intercepted by the US Air Force near the Yemeni coast of al-Hudaida. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

Since the Gaza war broke out between Israel and the Islamist Hamas, Iran-backed Houthi rebels have repeatedly attacked ships with alleged Israeli connections in the Red Sea. Large shipping companies are increasingly avoiding the route. Because of the Houthis’ actions, the USA and Great Britain recently attacked the group’s positions in Yemen, supported by the Netherlands, Canada, Australia and Bahrain.
