Garching: Free courses in the new VHS house – district of Munich

From Wednesday, February 22 to Friday, February 24, those who are curious can explore the new premises of the adult education center in Garching before the official start of the semester. The adult education center is offering a free taster program these days. Since the beginning of the year, the VHS has been located in the north of the district of Munich in Garching at Telschowstrasse 4 to 7.

The education center shares the light new building with the wooden outer facade in the city center with the family center of the neighborhood help. In the future, courses such as Zumba, yoga or stick fighting will take place in the 14 new classrooms of the VHS, but you can also continue your education in the areas of photography, sewing, controlling or in foreign languages ​​or discover silversmithing or magic for yourself.

As part of the taster days, the general director of the Deutsches Museum in Munich, Wolfgang Heckl, explained the “world of technology in 100 objects” to visitors in a lecture on Wednesday, February 22nd. On Thursday, February 23, those interested in America will take a virtual trip to the USA with Richard Espertshuber. The events start at 6 p.m. each day.
