Garching – birthday children donate to Ukraine – District of Munich

The aid for the Ukraine in the district of Munich has many faces. Also very young: The two twin sisters Pia and Paula Mielich wanted something very special from their friends for their twelfth birthday – instead of gifts, small donations of money to help the people in Ukraine. The campaign raised a whopping 105 euros, which the two girls handed over to the Garching helpers’ group in a money box, much to the delight of the coordinators Nicola Gerhardt and Evgenia Sheveleva. The money is intended to help buy medicines for Ukrainian hospitals. Every Monday between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., the Garching Helpers’ Circle invites you to a “Meeting Point” in the parish hall of St. Severin. There, arriving refugees can take care of themselves and get help with bureaucratic processes, donations are also accepted and there is coffee and cake.
