An 18-year-old scooter rider has died after crashing his vehicle into a parked truck. His 19-year-old passenger was seriously injured, police said. The two were out and about in the community of Garching an der Alz (Altötting district) on Thursday night.
It is still unclear why the collision with the parked truck occurred. As a result of the impact, the 18-year-old and his scooter were trapped under the truck. He was taken to a hospital where he died that night. The seriously injured 19-year-old is still in the hospital.
