Gang war in Stuttgart: verdict announced in the grenade throwing trial

The trial surrounding the most brutal act of gang conflict in Stuttgart to date is coming to an end. The defendant apparently wanted to kill his “opponents” with a hand grenade. About a negotiation in which everything and at the same time nothing was revealed.

Right at the beginning of the trial, Shariar K. admitted all the crimes he was accused of. The 23-year-old Iranian admits through his defense attorney that he seriously injured a young man with a knife in January 2023. And: That in June he threw a grenade at a crowd in a cemetery near Stuttgart. It could have been a bloodbath. But the grenade miraculously bounced off a tree. He is sorry for all of this, says his defense attorney.

Then K. remains silent – the entire process. He says nothing about the background to the crime, nothing about his motive and he doesn’t say a word about possible accomplices.
