Galaxy S24 and Galaxy AI: Samsung reveals the date for the next Unpacked Event

The Unpacked Event for the Samsung Galaxy S24 and the new Galaxy AI is eagerly awaited. Read the details of the event here.

Samsung has officially confirmed what many have suspected: the Unpacked Event for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will take place on January 17th at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The highly anticipated event promises to unveil three models in the Galaxy S24 series and also marks the debut of the company’s Galaxy AI.

The event begins at 7:00 p.m. German time and will be broadcast live worldwide on Samsung’s website and YouTube channel for those who were unable to get tickets to the SAP Center.

Although Samsung has not yet announced any details about the Galaxy S24 models, the pre-order program has already started. Early birds will be rewarded with a credit of up to $50, which can later be redeemed when purchasing the smartphones. In the US there is even a credit of almost $100, which has led to some debate about fairness.

The references to upcoming AI functions are particularly interesting. The event teaser hints at Galaxy AI with new star animations reminiscent of Google’s Bard Assistant and the Gemini model. This could suggest that Samsung is leveraging Google’s AI tools for Galaxy AI, which opens up exciting possibilities.

Alleged leaks regarding various AI features of the Samsung Galaxy S24 have recently surfaced. These include a “Generative Photo Editor,” similar to the Pixel 8 Pro’s Magic Editor, as well as “Live Translate” in the phone app, “Screen Display,” and “Nightography Zoom,” among others. In addition to the expected Galaxy S24, the Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 and the new Galaxy Book 4 notebook series could also be presented. Rumor has it that the Galaxy Ring could also make its debut – an exciting possibility that makes the event even more exciting.
