It is one of the most spectacular murder cases in recent years: the American Gabby Petito († 22) was murdered. Her former fiancé Brian Laundrie (23) is under urgent suspicion.
Now human remains have been found near a backpack believed to belong to Brian Laundrie! This is reported by several US media.
Initially, “Fox News“Reports that the parents of the fugitive Brian Laundrie drove to Myakkahatchee Creek Park on Wednesday morning (local time). The area was considered a possible hiding place for the suspect who disappeared in September. An investigator reportedly told the parents that they “might have found something”.

Later reported “NBC Miami“That it should be a backpack that could belong to Brian Laundrie. Things in it are supposed to correspond to items that the 23-year-old might have been carrying with him during his disappearance in September.
Police officers subsequently found human remains not far from the backpack.
Pictures show how the specialists at the FBI put up a white tent. It may include Brian Laundrie’s body parts. The area was flooded for several weeks.
Police spokespersons have now confirmed that the body parts have been found. However, it will take some time to review them.
Gabby Petito and her fiancé had gone on a trip across the United States that summer. Brian Laundrie returned alone on September 1 and disappeared from the scene mid-month after Gabby’s parents officially reported their daughter missing.
On September 19 – almost one month to the day before the current body was found – the remains of Gabby Petito turned up. An autopsy revealed that the 22-year-old had been strangled.
Brian Laundrie is considered an urgent suspect. It is possible that he took the secret of Gabby’s death with him to the grave.
