At the annual Bambi fundraising gala, stars and celebrities once again collected money for children in need.

Actress Simone Thomalla, fashion designer Michael Michalsky, actor Wayne Carpendale: you and numerous other celebrities from the media, business, show business and society collected money for children in need at a fundraising gala in Berlin on Wednesday evening. Actress Mariella Ahrens, actor Hardy Krüger Jr. and Natalia Klitschko, the wife of the mayor of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, who lives in Germany, also appeared on the red carpet of the Tribute to Bambi event.

At the annual charity event – an initiative by Hubert Burda Media – children and young people who are seriously ill, have been mentally injured or are economically disadvantaged are supported. One focus of this year’s event was the support of children and young people who fled to Germany from the war in Ukraine.

Money was collected for numerous projects from all over Germany, for example for children from disadvantaged families or the German Depression Aid Foundation. Because of the corona pandemic, this has developed online training for teachers so that they can better recognize mental problems in children and young people and deal with the students accordingly.

According to their own statements, the Tribute to Bambi Foundation has been able to collect more than 11 million euros in monetary and material donations since 2001. More than 180 non-profit organizations could therefore be supported.
