FTX Gives $500 Crypto To All Basketball Fans Seated In FTX Arena Season Open

Major cryptocurrency exchange FTX gave $500 in crypto to all spectators seated in the FTX Arena during Thursday’s Miami Heat season opener against the Milwaukee Bucks.

In addition to crypto, all fans in the stadium will also receive a t-shirt with a QR code to receive an exclusive ‘Opening Night FTX Arena NFT’.

Messari founder Ryan Selkis estimates that with 21,000 spectators in the stadium and 80 seats, the crypto deal will total around $150,000, which is a great value for social media advertising.

In April, exchange FTX paid $135 million to rename the Miami Heat’s stadium to FTX Arena for the next 19 years, a very bold move considering the company has only been open for two years.

Three-time NBA champion Udonis Haslem has been named an ambassador for FTX’s in-game campaign song “You In, Miami?”, with FTX saying it plans to continue working closely with Haslem to promote crypto.
