“Frozen 2”, “Dirty Dancing”, “The Minions”… What movies to watch on TV before Christmas?

Ask for the program! That’s it, the school holidays have just started across the whole of France and the magic of Christmas has crept into the small screen. As every year, the TV channels are making some changes in their program schedule to bring together young and old, not in front of a nice fireplace, but rather in front of the beautiful LED screen of the station.

More reruns on TF1 than on France 2

On TF1, we rely more on reruns. On its usual box of “Ciné dimanche”, the channel offers this December 19 Ice Age: Laws of the Universe, released in 2016. The only unreleased film of the week is broadcast this Monday, December 20: it is the Grinch(but it’s already available on Netflix). From Tuesday, TF1 continues with classics, starting with The Holiday and A star is born, then Dirty Dancing Wednesday, Mrs. Doubtfire Thursday and Jurassic Park (the 1st and 2nd) Friday.

On the side of France 2, it smells a little more new. The channel broadcasts a film every day at 1:45 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, we will find respectively Minions and White Fang, the animated film of 2018. These are the only two unseen feature films of the week. From Wednesday, viewers will be able to tune in to The Addams Family, The Incognitos Thursday and Like animals 2 Friday. The next day, Christmas Day, France 2 will broadcast Peter Rabbit, again a new one.

Normal days on M6, a Disney Christmas special

In the afternoons, M6 relies on its traditional Christmas TV movies and does not change much of its habits. You have to take a look at the channel’s evening program to find proposals that smell good at the end of the year. The greatest proof is undoubtedly the broadcast, Monday evening as a bonus, of Frozen 2. A short film dedicated to Olaf, the cartoon snowman, will follow.

On December 24, you can stick your children in front of Arlo’s journey, always on prime time. The next day, the chain offers a special day for Christmas with the “Disney Day” operation. The public will be able to afford a grand slam starting with Cinderella from 4.30 p.m., then Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs at 6 p.m. and finally Bambi from 9 p.m. There you can be sure that these are not unreleased films.
