The case dates back to Saturday morning, but it only filtered this Wednesday in the Spanish press. A 25-year-old Frenchman, presented as a Thai boxing champion and whose identity has not been revealed, was arrested in the center of Madrid after violently attacking four police officers.
According El Mundo, it was 6 a.m. when the 1.90 m young man was kicked out of a nightclub following an incident. He then lay down on Paseo de la Castellana, one of the city’s main avenues. Motorists then gave the alert and help arrived, then municipal police.
The boxer injured then taken into custody
The solid Frenchman, obviously drunk, got up to go and collapse in a nearby public garden. But he did not remain inactive for long. A first officer who tried to approach him was punched in the chest.
