Franz Keller became a star chef at a young age and was considered one of the hottest chefs in Germany in the 1980s. In 1993 he consciously gave up, later moved to an organic farm and became a best-selling author in 2018. Now the brother of the former DFB president Fritz Keller is just about to start telling how it all came about when Gustav comes along. Gustav, the wild boar, Keller raised him here on the Falkenhof organic farm. “I can’t make salami out of it, otherwise I’ll get in trouble with my daughter,” he says. When Keller whistles, Gustav comes to the fence – but then he also has to feed him, otherwise he gets grumpy (Gustav, not Keller). So quickly throw four apples into the enclosure and then the interview can begin.
