Aurélie Saada, discovered at the Angoulême Festival. This dynamic first film by one of the musicians of the duo Brigitte, offers a wonderful role to Françoise Fabian, seen recently in the series Ten percent. In this tender comedy, she plays a 78-year-old widow released after the death of her beloved husband.
“To her great surprise, she understands that her life is not over and that she can still enjoy it” tells Françoise Fabian to 20 minutes. A glass of vodka, a joint and – why not? – a younger lover (Pascal Elbé) give him back a taste for existence. And this surprises her children Aure Atika and Grégory Montel to the point that they believe that she has lost her mind. They no longer recognize her!

The actress brings a communicative energy to this woman who refuses to be buried, a role she describes as “a gift”. Rose celebrates the pleasures of the flesh but also of the dear because the heroine also satisfies her appetite with excellent little dishes that make your mouth water. “I would like the public to see Rose as a model,” insists Françoise Fabian. There is no age to become free and I categorically reject the idea that women have an expiration date. I feel very close to Rose with her sorrows and her life force. “
