François Fillon resigns from his two Russian mandates

Former Prime Minister François Fillon announces this Friday in a tribune at the JDD that he resign from his Russian mandates on the boards of directors of the petrochemical giant Sibur and of Zarubeshneft, a company specializing in hydrocarbons.

Faced with the Russian invasion in Ukraine, “I cannot continue my participation in the boards of Russian companies Zarubeshneft and Sibur”, said François Fillon, indicating that he was taking this decision with “sadness”.

The former head of government from 2007 to 2012 and candidate for the presidential election in 2017 had recently been criticized for remaining on his boards of directors when Russia invaded Ukraine, as he explains in a tribune that the JDD will publish in full on Sunday.
