Reports: Mega transfer from Mbappé to Real is on the way

A move for the star striker to the Spanish record champions has been discussed for years. Now Mbappé is said to have made a decision. It would be a lucrative deal.
The mega transfer from star striker Kylian Mbappé to Spanish record champions Real Madrid is reportedly imminent. According to information from the newspaper “Le Parisien”, the 2018 world champion is said to have decided to move from Paris Saint-Germain to Los Blancos.
According to ESPN, the decision is expected to be announced as early as next week. PSG is said to have not yet been informed about the departure, and Mbappé has not yet publicly commented on his future.
Mbappé’s contract expires in the summer. According to ESPN, the French leader is said to have tried to persuade the 25-year-old to stay with an increase in his annual salary of an estimated 72 million euros. Since Mbappé is free of charge, he could now reach the range of 100 million euros thanks to bonus payments – and thus become the top earner in football, at least beyond Saudi Arabia. An important point in his future decision should also be that he is allowed to take part in the Olympic football tournament in front of his home crowd in the summer.
Mbappé, who was born in the Paris suburb of Bondy, has been playing for PSG since moving from AS Monaco in 2017 and is already the club’s record goalscorer. He won the championship five times with Paris and the cup three times. However, the captain of the French national team has not yet been granted a Champions League triumph. In 2020 he reached the premier class final with coach Thomas Tuchel, but lost 1-0 to FC Bayern.
“For many, the inevitable will happen,” wrote Le Parisien. This was already indicated last summer when the striker turned down a contract extension and turned down an immediate move for a high transfer fee. PSG then tried to exert pressure and temporarily banned him from the squad – without success.
As early as 2022, Mbappé was about to move to Real, his favorite club from his youth. At that time he extended his contract again. PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently said: “Of course I want Kylian to stay. For me he is the best player in the world and for me Paris is the best club for Kylian.”
