In the USA – and not only there, by the way – it’s about a couple of really big questions: How should you deal with liars? With people who don’t give a damn about facts and only claim things because it could help them in some way – and in the worst case scenario causes maximum damage to others in a perfidious game of attention and fear for power and money? A capitalist and therefore very American answer is: Complain to the end, on the grounds that the other person deliberately wanted to harm you with his lies. The target of such lawsuits is strikingly often: Fox News.
