As long as Andreas Wellinger keeps his sense of humor, he is in good shape. Even at the beginning, after qualifying for the fourth stage of the Four Hills Tournament, the Chiemgauer was in his usual rosy mood. Actually, he had placed his jumps far too short. Other ski jumpers would trudge past the reporters, but Wellinger can’t help it. He said, “I was way too late.” Then he continued: “I drove completely past the take-off table.” And finally gave himself some advice: “I have to quickly go to Ikea and buy a longer table.”
