Four arrests after gold treasure theft in Manching

The coin collection unearthed in Manching in 1999 was the largest Celtic gold find of the past century and the showpiece of the house.

Thieves stole 483 gold coins from the Celtic and Roman Museum in Manching near Ingolstadt in November. At least part of the treasure could probably be secured.

Eight months after the spectacular theft of the Celtic gold treasure from the Celtic and Roman Museum in Manching, investigators arrested four suspects on Tuesday. The Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (LKA) confirmed this on Wednesday when asked by SZ, the German Press Agency had previously reported on it.
