This follows a decision by the American company, which now complies with new European Union rules.
Indeed, Apple has just revised its copy regarding its App Store policy. Now, the brand leaves the door open to third-party app stores, like Epic Games, on iOS devices. Until now, only the Apple App Store had the right to use, for commissions considered exorbitant. This decision also comes after a long legal and economic battle between the two protagonists.
Soon an alternative app store?
Neither one nor two: after this announcement, Epic Games announced its plan to launch its own alternative store on iPhone. This means that the publisher will be able to offer Fortnite directly to iPhone users, without going through the App Store and without paying the famous commissions. An initiative that could give ideas to other developers.
