In view of the ongoing Corona problems, Formula 1 has presented a revised calendar for the remainder of the season and is moving away from the record number of 23 races for the first time. The new version provides for a total of 22 appointments, which would also be an unprecedented number. After the Belgian Grand Prix this Sunday (3 p.m. / Sky), ten more races are on the program until mid-December. This was announced by Formula 1 on Saturday. The organizers rearranged some dates, so the races in Turkey (October 10th), Mexico (November 7th) and Brazil (November 14th) each move one week back. Another race is to take place on November 21, for which no official venue has yet been determined. Presumably the premier class will then drive in Qatar for the first time. During the year, Formula 1 had to cancel the Grand Prix in China, Singapore, Australia, Canada and Japan. Problems also arose with the remaining races in Turkey, Mexico and Brazil because the host countries are on the UK’s Red Corona list. This results in strict Quranic rules on the return journey, which is difficult for Formula 1 because the majority of the teams are based in England.
