Laura Papendick returns to Formula 1 – this time as a permanent presenter.

RTL is bringing in its proven moderation team for Formula 1 on free TV. Laura Papendick also joins us.
The moderation team for the upcoming Formula 1 season RTL is complete. As the broadcaster announced in a press release, Laura Papendick (35) will support her male colleagues Florian König (56), Heiko Waßer (66), Christian Danner (65) and Kai Ebel (59). The 35-year-old is scheduled for some moderations, according to the statement.
RTL is relying on well-known faces. As usual, Formula 1 fans can expect a welcome from sports presenter König. With Kai Ebel as track reporter we go into the pit lane, while Waßer and Danner comment live on the races and qualifying/sprints. The season starts on March 2nd in Bahrain.
Laura Papendick had previously represented Florian König
Laura Papendick is not entirely new: the presenter had already replaced her colleague Florian König due to illness. She hosted three races in the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
A few weeks ago, the extensive cooperation between the private broadcaster RTL and the Formula 1 rights holder Sky became known. RTL secured seven Formula 1 races from the 2024 season for free TV. These include the Hungarian GP in Budapest (July 21), the cult race in Spa, Belgium (July 28), the Verstappen home Grand Prix in Zandvoort, the Netherlands (August 25) and the high-speed race in Monza, Italy (July 1). .September).
The channel will also broadcast the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku (September 15) and the US glamor spectacle in Las Vegas (November 24). On all other race weekends presents RTL+ the qualifying or the sprint in the live stream.
