Ferrari in a frenzy of celebration! The Scuderia celebrated a double victory at the Australian Grand Prix. Carlos Sainz takes his third victory in Formula 1, teammate Charles Leclerc completes the perfect weekend for Ferrari.
Everyone at Ferrari will be happy about the victory, but everyone in Formula 1 should now only be asking themselves one question: Did the Scuderia act too hastily? Was it right to let Sainz go in 2025 and put Lewis Hamilton in the car?

What a comeback from Carlos Sainz. Just two weeks after his appendix operation, the Spaniard returned to the car – and how. In qualifying, the Ferrari driver took second place and defeated his teammate Leclerc. And Sainz also put in an incredible performance in the race.
After Verstappen’s retirement, he confidently led the race, easily kept the competition at bay and didn’t give his teammate Leclerc a chance. “It was a very good race. I felt good, but physically it wasn’t easy,” said the 29-year-old after his win.

Leclerc wasn’t quite as happy. He emphasized that Ferrari was really happy with the result. However, he himself had a few problems with tire management and was therefore unable to put any pressure on his teammate. “Carlos did the better job over the weekend,” he admitted.
Was the Hamilton signing a mistake?
The balance after three races is in Sainz’s favor: in Bahrain (3rd) and Australia (1st) he defeated Leclerc (4th and 2nd place). In Saudi Arabia he had to have an appendix operation. This should raise the question at Ferrari and especially among the “Ferrarista”: Have we made the right decision?
