Formula 1: Ferrari before monster deal – Verstappen looks closely

Race after race, the Formula 1 drivers hope to finally be able to beat Max Verstappen and Red Bull. So far only Carlos Sainz has achieved this this year. However, only because the Dutchman had an engine failure.

In order to narrow the gap to the world champion team, the other top teams need financial support. Ferrari could now get it. The Formula 1 team is facing a fantastic deal.

Formula 1: Ferrari before a hammer deal

Starting next year, Ferrari will not only have a new driver in Formula 1 with Lewis Hamilton, but will also land a new main sponsor. As “SportBusiness” reports, Hewlett-Packard (HP) is close to concluding a deal with Scuderia.

If the deal goes through, HP will be the traditional racing team’s first main sponsor since the 2021 season. According to the report, Ferrari also stands to gain a huge sum. The deal should be on a par with the sponsorship agreement between Red Bull and Oracle. It is currently the most lucrative in Formula 1. Red Bull will receive $700 million over five years.

A similar sum is available for Ferrari, which could be particularly important given the driver contracts. With Hamilton’s Ferrari contract rumored to be in the region of €100 million, the deal with HP as the new main sponsor will ease that burden.

Can Ferrari close the gap to Red Bull?

Ferrari will hope to use this large income to close the gap on Max Verstappen and Red Bull in Formula 1. The Austrian team is hard to beat. But with the financial possibilities there are great opportunities to make great progress in the development of cars.

Incidentally, it is not the first deal for HP in Formula 1. The company already sponsored Williams from 2000 to 2005 and currently also has relationships with the top team Mercedes and Sauber, which will be taken over by Audi from 2026.
