The developers behind popular video games such as Far Cry and Diablo Immortal have chosen to use blockchain technology to create their new Web3 MMORPG.
Metaverse Game Studios, an independent game developer with developers who have worked on several AAA titles, has announced a partnership with the Web3 development platform ImmutableX to create a Web3 game called Angelic.
The game is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and is billed as a sci-fi strategy RPG with turn-based combat, featuring a story-driven single-player campaign and free-to-play. The multiplayer metaverse is for gamers looking for a AAA Web3 gaming experience.
ImmutableX’s full-stack gaming platform powers digital collectibles on An Ethereum-based nonfungible token (NFT) in-game that players can own. The developer also claims that the digital assets in the game will be hosted off-chain while being interoperable with other blockchain networks.

Angelic will launch an alpha test with select community members and partners in January 2023 and a public release in February. Players can then trade NFTs in previously acquired games from the trial version in the PvP section of the game.
