Schindler lets Halle go wild
Martin Schindler takes his next victory at the German Darts Grand Prix and is in the quarter-finals in Munich. A former prodigy causes a surprise.
Next win! Germany’s darts professional Martin Schindler took part in the German Darts Grand Prix (LIVE on TV and stream) made the quarterfinals clear. The 27-year-old beat Chris Dobey 6-4 in Munich and will face Nathan Aspinall in the quarter-finals.

There was a surprise in the first game of the day: former prodigy Josh Rock knocked former world champion Michael Smith out of the tournament. The 22-year-old won 6-4 in the round of 16 in Munich and is now in the last eight.
Rock played with an average of 91.91 and used his second match dart to win. The Northern Irishman hit 180 once – Smith hit it four times. The latter also had a higher average (95.36), but it was still not enough to win.
Rock has long been considered the great hope in darts, but has not been able to meet expectations in recent months. Smith became world champion in 2023.

Schindler demanded
In the second game of the day, Gerwyn Price – also a former world champion – swept Ryan Searle 6-0. The Welshman now meets Rock. Meanwhile, Rob Cross experienced a debacle, going down 6-2 to Danny Noppert. World champion Luke Humphries left no stone unturned in his 6-2 win against Ryan Joyce.
