Former candidate indicted for sexual assault

A former candidate for Koh-Lanta, a show broadcast on TF1, was indicted in the investigation opened into possible acts of sexual assault committed during the filming of the show in 2018, we learned on Thursday from source close to the file, confirming information from Parisian.

In May 2018, a candidate filed a complaint and a judicial investigation was opened by the Nancy public prosecutor’s office. The continuation of the filming of the show, in the Fiji Islands, had been abandoned. Eddy Guyot, who denies the facts, was indicted in November 2022, but challenged this decision before the investigating chamber of the Nancy Court of Appeal.

DNA expertise in leggings and briefs

She rejected his request and confirmed his indictment on March 14. “The complainant rightly demanded a DNA analysis of her clothes, in particular her leggings and her panties. This expertise makes it possible to confirm his statements since male DNA was found,” declared Jérémie Assous, Eddy Guyot’s lawyer. “This innocent expertise Eddy Guyot, since it was not his DNA that was found. But the complainant does not want to know who this DNA belongs to,” he said.

“The time that has passed, inherent to the criminal procedure, has in no way altered the determination” of his client, declared her lawyer, Léon Del Forno. “She expects with confidence that justice will be done to her and that Mr. Guyot will be found guilty for what he did to her,” he added. At the start of the investigation, the young woman, then aged 20, told investigators that during the filming of the show, “she woke up while the accused was in the process of kissing on the mouth, before touching under his clothes”, according to the account given by the Nancy public prosecutor in 2018.
