Forensic scientist in Israel: “We have a lot of decapitated corpses”

Almost three weeks after the Hamas attack, specialists in Israel are still recovering victims and identifying bodies. Only when it is clear who is in the sacks can relatives bury them and mourn.

Two snipers have positioned themselves on the roof of the kindergarten in the kibbutz of Nir Oz; under camouflage hats, they are observing the militarized zone through binoculars. The Gaza Strip is less than two kilometers away. Clouds of smoke rise into the sky and the artillery rumbles regularly.
