For the New Year – health, community and courage – Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

Tempus fugit, the Latins would say, in German: Time flies. The turn of the year from 2021 to 2022 is imminent and with it not only the look back, but also what may lie ahead. For many, this is firmly connected with making good resolutions for New Year’s Eve. Next year everything should get better, most should agree on that, and that doesn’t even mean the corona pandemic alone. Certainly, many classics will be promised again under the chiming of the bell: Do more sport in the New Year, smoke less, be more indulgent to others, drink less alcohol, spend more time with loved ones, allow less stress at work or in private. Here you reveal what other people from the region are planning or expecting from 2022:

“We are going into the new year happy and full of expectations and excitement. The fact that the majority in the city council has decided to build the surf wave and put the work out to tender is a great signal. We are looking forward to the vision that we have had for so long , will finally come true and a place of community and the joy of surfing will arise at Loisachspitz. If everything goes according to plan, the wave will be built in 2022 and we will have a lot of work to do. We and our team are looking forward to these tasks, there It is now finally a matter of designing this new sports facility and organizing its operations optimally. In November we opened our club, which we had deliberately kept small until then, and since then we have already gained a lot of new members. Our goal now is to To form a new community that fills the surf wave with life and lives our values of community, commitment, enthusiasm and respect and communicates them to the outside world pure enable, that is so far unique in southern Bavaria. The great thing about the Wolfratshauser Welle will be that it also creates a sense of community. “

“My personal resolution is: build bridges through communication and contribute to strengthening the resilience of society through our music events. What is currently happening in our society really worries me. We have to take the wind out of the sails of radicalization to our own.” Not to destroy society. And communication is a key to this. I am not only active in the cultural sector, but for years I have also been active in the nationwide participatory process to search for a repository for high-level radioactive waste in Germany – a topic with a long history of conflict I have learned that the only way to find solutions is through open discourse with all groups. If everyone remains in their information bubble, we will get no further. This also applies to dealing with the pandemic. I am convinced that you can get through Approaching one another can bring movement into thinking.

As for the concerts, my greatest wish is to be able to plan a little better for the coming year. At Klangwelt Klassik, we are still expecting space restrictions in the first half of the year and are planning double concerts. From the summer onwards, we want – cautiously optimistic – to return to normal occupations. Culture is not a leisure activity, culture is part of education and that is how it should be classified. After all, the cultural experience makes an essential contribution to the mental health of our society. “

“I think very little of New Year’s resolutions, as they usually expire after two weeks anyway. However, I have a very specific goal: To make things more conscious again and to focus more on the matter with my head. This is all the more important in 2022 , because there are some important decisions to be made here that will shape my future professional life. Personally, I would like to spend more time with my family, girlfriend and friends in the coming year.

“I know that New Year’s resolutions are popular, they are hyped up and down. Still, I think it’s good when people reflect on themselves. I don’t need a new year to do something, but there is a good occasion. That is what resolutions are like a good way to get out of the persistent complacency, because there is always something to optimize or to do differently.

I personally have two resolutions for the coming year: Be more determined and dare to be courageous, be it privately or within my role at the Federal Nature Conservation Union. I hope to keep both resolutions, because in 2022 I plan to climb the Watzmann and Monte Pelmo, one of the highest peaks in the Dolomites. That counts for me under amusement. In my private life I would like to spend more time with my granddaughter, who has just turned one year old. “

“I hope that next year we can leave the pandemic behind us so far that we can resume our normal life as it was before Corona. As mayor, I don’t know anything else. I took up my post in the first lockdown. My employees tell me how it was before, when you didn’t have to think about masks, distance and hygiene rules at every meeting; when as a mayor you could go to parties, clubs and more.

All that is sociable has broken down. We are therefore planning a three-day city festival in 2022. A lot has to happen that this does not happen. A working group has been commissioned and the first bookings have been made. “

“I don’t plan so much for the New Year. I actually always have the same resolutions: finally lose some weight, drink less alcohol. But the most important wish is that we stay healthy. That would be very short and sweet Everything else is a luxury problem.

I’m not that premeditated type. We are happy that we can work on New Year’s Eve. Because this forced thing bothers me at the turn of the year. Last New Year’s Eve, the transition from 2020 to 2021, was very unusual for us. I and my husband were with the boys at our home in Lenggries. Since Wednesday, December 29th, we have been on the Lenggrieser Hütte with the 2-G rules as normal. Guests have booked with us for New Year’s Eve. With the inquiries we could have filled the hut two or three times. But we only occupied a little more than half of the beds. The rest remains free.

Business was pretty good last summer. In autumn, all the guests were also very relaxed. Now in the cold season it is more difficult. We have to see how the pandemic develops in January and February. So far we are satisfied. “
